Ahead of the September 16, 2026 30th Celebration street date, Kotaku reported collectors across X and Reddit saying thousands of Pokémon Center 30th Celebration orders were canceled overnight (reports dated about September 7). Community consensus — not company confirmation — held that bot-placed orders were the main target, with some legitimate buyers claiming collateral cancellations. Kotaku explicitly noted The Pokémon Company had not released a statement or explanation in that article. This is distinct from early marketplace listing removals, sealed-product bans, and big-box MSRP rows already covered elsewhere.
