Polygon reported that around a Pokémon merch collection drop, customers shared flyers limiting purchases (often one per Pokémon product; the official collection page also stated one-item-per-person language). Some flyers extended limits to trading cards; another viral flyer claimed Target “no longer sells to resellers” and that purchases are for personal use. Employees in comment threads said some stores newly enforce that, while others said reseller refusal was always internal policy now getting public. Polygon noted the prior week’s seal-slash video and that the tactics appear store-discretionary, not universal edicts. Efficacy was questioned (family and proxy buyers).
