Target quietly raises shelf prices on high-demand Pokémon SKUs
· Pokémon TCG — mass retail above-prior-price / MSRP ethics (Target tier)

Sad Pikachu has a target on his forehead (Kotaku page wording).

Polygon (Patricia Hernandez) documented Target price increases on select hot SKUs, noticed since the weekend of June 26: First Partner Illustration Collection Series 2 $15.99 → $17.99; Ascended Heroes, Chaos Rising, and Perfect Order Booster Bundles $29.99 → $31.99; Prismatic Evolutions Super-Premium Collection $99.99 → $119.99. Not across the board; some SKUs were unchanged or still under MSRP. Target did not immediately comment. Kotaku the same day framed Target as joining GameStop’s “cut out the middleman” path, citing Polygon’s Ascended Heroes bundle path (~$26.94 Pokémon Center MSRP reference → prior $29.99 → $31.99). GameStop’s own markups are a separate story and are not rebuilt here.
