Long lines again for Pokémon’s 30th Celebration as the Booster Bundle and Mini Tins hit shelves, plus the Zeta Set coming back Dec. 9 and a Night Out livestream date.

· 8:20 AM CT

Reported: The lines are back. The Reno Gazette Journal reports that more than 100 people lined up around a south Reno Target before its 8 a.m. opening Friday for the new 30th Celebration Booster Bundle and Mini Tins, and an even longer line formed at a Best Buy about a mile away before its 10 a.m. opening. Per RGJ, Target cut its limit to two items (usually four), and Best Buy allowed one of each item. Also: Wizards says Secret Lair x MSCHF: The Zeta Set gets a second, single 24-hour order window on Dec. 9 (Official), and Pokémon will livestream its Night Out show on Oct. 24. Market reference prices are unchanged.

How the market was

Market check: no change to our 30th Celebration reference prices. With no new completed-sales print from ICv2, we’re holding the Sept. 17 bands: standard Elite Trainer Box about $150–170 completed versus $49.99 retail, and RGB Mew Red $6–7k / Green about $8k / Blue about $5k. On our tracker, listing asks for the standard ETB eased a few dollars to about $157 after Friday’s Booster Bundle and Mini Tin launch. That’s listing tape, not a completed-sales rewrite.

Day movers

  • Pokémon, 30th Celebration ETB (standard): $150–170, unchanged, vs $49.99 retail (ICv2, Sep 17).
  • Pokémon, RGB Mew: Red $6–7k / Green ~$8k / Blue ~$5k, unchanged (ICv2, Sep 17). Asks aren’t completed sales.

30th Celebration launch day draws long lines again

The Reno Gazette Journal (Oct. 2) reports that Friday’s launch of the 30th Celebration Booster Bundle and Mini Tins drew more than 100 people around a south Reno Target before its 8 a.m. opening, and an even longer line at the south Reno Best Buy about a mile away before its 10 a.m. opening. Per RGJ, Target cut its limit to two items instead of the usual four, and Best Buy limited shoppers to one of each item. Restocks of earlier 30th Celebration products were also on shelves, and RGJ notes lines have been common since the set’s Sept. 16 launch. CBS Sacramento also reported lines wrapped around Sacramento-area Target stores Friday. The limits described are at the Reno stores, not a Pokémon policy. Official context: the Booster Bundle has six 30th Celebration booster packs; the Mini Tins come in 10 designs, each with two 30th Celebration packs, a sticker sheet, and an art card. Next up: the 30th Celebration Battle Deck—Espeon ex & Umbreon ex on Oct. 30.
