The Pokémon Company is working with LY Corporation, which runs Yahoo! JAPAN’s marketplaces, to tighten resale listings in Japan. Starting Oct. 13, Yahoo! Auctions and Yahoo! Flea Market prohibit Pokémon card listings sold by the carton, empty boxes and packs, and mass listings of the same product for a set period after release, LY Corp said. The bulk-listing rule begins with the 30th Celebration set; Yahoo! Flea Market’s rule notice says the current bulk ban covers 30th Celebration booster boxes through Oct. 31 (subject to change) and that empty packs and boxes are banned across trading-card games. The rules apply to those Japanese platforms; no U.S. marketplace changes were announced. Also: TCGplayer says modern Pokémon singles kept sliding last month, Wizards is giving every Magic Multiverse set a Secret Lair Bundle starting with Reality Fracture, and a Pokémon × Beats Pill speaker goes on sale Thursday.

Note

The Yahoo! Auctions and Yahoo! Flea Market rules come from LY Corporation's Oct. 13 announcement; the Oct. 31 bulk-ban window and the all-TCG empty pack/box ban come from Yahoo! Flea Market's rule notice, which says the window may change. These rules cover those Japanese platforms only. The singles figures are TCGplayer's own report for Sept. 7–Oct. 6, not today's prices. Secret Lair Bundle details are from Wizards of the Coast. The Beats Pill details are from official Pokémon news; it's a speaker, not a card product. The standard ETB range reflects completed sales; the sales-based price is TCGplayer's market price.
