Police estimate about $963,000 in cards were stolen from a FedEx truck carrying PSA orders
Thieves took an estimated $963,000 worth of sports, Pokémon and other trading cards from a FedEx truck in Southern California last week, Santa Ana police told NBC News on Monday. Police said officers responded on Tuesday to a report at PSA in Santa Ana; two pallets of cards were taken and a third was "disrupted." In a statement to Sports Illustrated, PSA said it has deactivated the certificates for the stolen items, notified marketplace partners, contacted affected customers directly and is arranging compensation based on fair market value, and is working with law enforcement and the carrier. A PSA spokesperson told NBC that grading fees will be returned along with the fair market value of the cards. FedEx told SI it is working with local law enforcement and referred further questions to investigators. Police said the case is open, with no arrests and nothing recovered, and the value could rise. If you had a PSA order in transit, check your email and your cert numbers. On Monday we wrote that no total had been made public. The ~$963,000 figure is the police estimate reported Monday evening.

NPR says Panama Canal drought is still holding up Magic product in stores
El Niño-driven drought at the Panama Canal is still delaying Magic: The Gathering product in North America, NPR reports. Chicago game store Dice Dojo told NPR several Reality Fracture products were "completely delayed" with no arrival date, and NPR says big-box retailers like Target and Walmart are affected too. Wizards of the Coast first warned of North American delays in August. An Argus freight analyst told NPR the drought could be "really dangerous for 2027."
