Thin spikes ≠ depth

Buyouts and SAR heat — not a quiet week

Not a quiet chase week. Mega Charizard Y and related Ascended Heroes SARs printed buyout heat. Read liquidity so a spike doesn’t look like a deep book — Ascended Heroes remains the sealed lead underneath the noise.

How the market was

Week two of the archive is a liquidity lesson. The Apr 6 narrative put Mega Charizard Y #294 in a buyout frame (later cited around ~$613). Mega Gengar sat near ~$1,292. Pikachu #276 printed about ~$1,177 off a March narrative near ~$480. Packs still around ~$12. Confidence high on those chase prints; confidence in depth is the open question.

Thin spikes can move hard in a few clears. They can also reverse without sealed leadership flipping. Ascended Heroes sealed / packs stay the structural lead even when SAR headlines dominate the scroll. Don’t treat names with buyout prints but thin completed books as the market.

Week over week vs Issue 01: chase SARs accelerated (Pikachu narrative ~$480 → ~$1.2k); ASC remains the sealed lead.
